Steeped in Queenstown’s pioneering history, our experience starts with a Lake Wakatipu cruise in the 100 year old steamship, the TSS Earnslaw. On board the TSS Earnslaw, we can serve your guests a variety of pre-dinner canapés or cheese / anti pasti grazing platters as they cruise across Lake Wakatipu. Then disembark at Walter Peak High Country Farm, one of the first farms set up in the region.

Relaxing in the charming ambience of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant, the heart of the stately homestead at Walter Peak, you’ll enjoy gourmet dining prepared by our chef in front of you. You'll have a plenty to choose from on our seasonal menu – crisp salads, fresh vegetables and succulent meats, prepared on our open grill. Then finish your meal by trying to choose which mouth-watering desserts to try – or don’t choose and have them all!

In keeping with our core focus of sustainability there is plenty of work that goes in to ensure we can bring our guests locally sourced produce and the distance between the farm to the table is kept to the minimum.

After your meal, an entertaining and informative farming demonstration gives you a glimpse of life in the high country.

The return cruise home is magical. Sing-a-long with the ship’s pianist or transform it into a party boat with a live band & dance floor or simply breathe in the fresh night air on the moonlit decks as the lights of Queenstown draw nearer.

Both the TSS Earnslaw and Colonel’s Homestead are fully licensed with an extensive beverage list featuring many local wines and beverage packages are also available.
